TRIBECA GAMES Festival Spotlight: All the Featured Games - Video/ Gameplay & Demos

Otakus and Geeks got to attend the Tribeca Press Preview days for Tribeca Games and experience playable demos of the upcoming featured games. This year’s Festival features 9 official Games selections that demonstrate phenomenal storytelling, art, and innovation through interactive experiences. I got to play and experience each of these game selections, and also speak with some of the creators. Every single one of these games was intriguing, well- thought out and completely original.

A game that completely caught my attention is the new thriller “As Dusk Falls” coming from X-Box Studios, this game is going to be a literal game-changer. As Dusk Falls is an original interactive drama from INTERIOR/NIGHT that explores the entangled lives of two families across thirty years. Tribeca Games Spotlight: All the extraordinary Video Games at the 2021 Tribeca Games Showcase

The Tribeca Official Showcase included eight games from small developers (including some that have the backing of large publishers) coming to both PC and consoles. Festival-goers can virtually demo these games, and watch the entire showcase in the Tribeca Games Spotlight stream! (see video below)

The festival kicked off with the Tribeca Games Spotlight featuring a line-up of creator interviews, appearances by special guests, and exclusive gameplay from the eight official selections:

Harold Halibut, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Lost In Random, NORCO, Sable, Signalis, The Big Con and Twelve Minutes. Game fans had the opportunity to virtually catch the new Kena: Bridge of Spirits’ trailer, and hear from such celebrities and gaming industry luminaries as Guillermo del Toro, Khalief Adams, Neill Blomkamp, Japanese Breakfast, Tanya DePass, Reggie Fils-Aimé, Bing Gordon, Melissa Joan Hart, Geoff Keighley, Hideo Kojima, Sam Lake, James McAvoy, Norman Reedus, Kiki Wolfkill, Elijah Wood and Jen Zee.

Square Enix Products Brings Deathstroke to New York City

For its 2014 New York Comic Con exclusive, Square Enix recreated the nimbleness of Deathstroke to the utmost by incorporating flexible material in his shoulders and ankles to enable a wide range of motion. The paintwork features realistic weathering and chips on his armor, to imply the countless battles he has fought as an assassin. This stunning metallic color variant, a 2014 New York Comic Con Exclusive, brings a touch of noir to the classic Deathstroke design. The gold and black paint application on this figure makes for a stunning contrast and a must-have collectible for any fan of this deadly assassin.

Befitting an expert on weapons and explosives, the Deathstroke figure comes equipped with an arsenal of weapons, including a hand gun, a club, a sword, and a rifle along with corresponding interchangeable hands. The figure also includes a display stand.

Humble Bundle 8

TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION

Tokyo Girls Collection Spring/Summer 2013 was held in Tokyo this week. Over 30,000 young Japanese women converged on Harajuku for the 16th edition of Japan’s most famous one-day fashion event. Where traditional fashion shows focus on what’s coming to stores next season, next year, or never, Tokyo Girls Collection presents exactly what’s trendy on the Japanese street today, and allows attendees to instantly buy most everything they see on the runway. TOKYO FASHION WEEK

Japan Fashion Week is taking over Tokyo next week. The capital city will host countless fashion shows, some of them open to the public, and the increasingly popular Shibuya Fashion Festival. (source: Japanese Streets) 

I am elated to share some of what designers have presented to the Japanese fashion market. Hopefully one day, this will be off my bucket list and I'll be attending in real life!
