Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers Episode 2: First Journey Review
/Princess Nashetania and Adlet take their first step to the destination to defeat the demon God. However all is it not what it seems as evil fiends pray on an hopeless village. Episode 2 really knocks it out of the park. Episode 1 was an introduction into this world and our two main protagonist. Episode 2 takes Adlet and Princess Nashetania on the road to their destination. Episode 1 gave us an in-depth look at Adlet. Episode 2 gives an in-depth look at Princess Nashetania. Nashetania in this episode experiences, her first time life outside of her land, her first in real battle and explains more of her backstory. Nashetania is all fun once she leaves the land. She is telling jokes, experiencing foods that hasn't been prepared for her. Basically she's acting out how anyone stuck in a castle would act. Focusing more on Nashetania was a great move. As an audience member it made me really connect to her and understand her. Meanwhile her relationship with Adlet is developing. There might be a more than friends between these two. I'm curious to see where this relationship will lead.
Besides the focus on Nashetania, episode 2 introduces 2 new braves who are awesome. I won't give the spoilers but how each brave is introduce was really cool. We also get a look at the villains the fiends who pray on life. The episode offers some pretty good solid action with stellar animation. The music once again excels any other scores out right now. It really brings me into this world and made the action scenes more epic. Overall it's another solid episode from this show. Great development on Nashetania, great action and introduction to two new characters.
