NYCC 2014: TERRAFORMARS Gave Fans A Bloody Good Time!

At this year's New York Comic Con, Warner Japan and Crunchyroll presented an exclusive screening of the UNCENSORED version of episode 1 of Terraformars (English Subtitled) and the world premiere of the new EXTENDED trailer. The turn out for the panel was quite an unexpected surprise to the hosts as the room was filled by multitude.
Ever since Crunchyroll started streaming Terraformars, they were hit with a resounding displeasure from the hardcore fans for the excessive censorship of the show. Not only did it cut a big chunk of the show, it also made the show confusing for the watchers. Well, the fans finally got what they wished for at the exclusive screening, a glorious uncensored version of episode 1.
Warner Japan has heard and considered everyone's outcry and decided to provide Crunchyroll the uncensored version of the show. Before the screening started, all attendees received a free Terraformars mask and poster all the way from Japan! During the screening, you can tell the difference right away, the blood, the gore, it was fantastic! Just seeing it unfiltered was undoubtedly better. I'm not saying that violence is a necessity for me to enjoy the show or any show for that matter but if it was created to be violent then I rather watch it as how it was originally intended to be shown. Afterwards, they also showed a new extended trailer. Check it out below.
Crunchyroll also gave a special sneak peak just this past Saturday, October 25 at 6pm Pacific Time. They made episodes 1-3 (completely uncensored) available for a full 24 hours until Sunday at 5:56pm Pacific Time. No further announcement has been made of the exact release date for the rest of the uncensored episodes.
All in all the panel was fun and everyone had a good time. It was nice to see the hosts' reaction to the big turn out. They seemed to be genuinely pleased and happy with the outcome.
How about you fellow otakus and geeks? what did you think of the panel? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
