Batman: Bad Blood Review
/Hey O&G fans, another action packed Batman Movie will be released Feb 2nd 2016. Batman: Bad Blood is the newest movie in the DC Animated series. As always here is a synopsis of the movie:
Batwoman intercepts a group of criminals in Gotham that include Electrocutioner, Blockbuster, Firefly, Killer Moth, and others. When a fight ensues, Batman soon arrives. They are confronted by the apparent leader of the criminals, a man called the Heretic. After a fierce battle, Bruce Wayne is missing. Alfred covers for him while Nightwing and Robin patrol Gotham City in his stead. And a new player, Batwoman, investigates Batman's disappearance. Jason O'Mara, Sean Maher and Stuart Allan will reprise their roles from the previous films with Morena Baccarin returning from Son of Batman as Talia al Ghul.
REVIEW
Compared to the two previous films ( Son Of batman and Batman vs Robin ) this one is the strongest of the three. The film focuses on the lives of Batman's current and former sidekicks and the expansion of the bat Family. The movie also gives you a deeper look into how Batman has influenced the lives of his family and those he has inspired. The introduction of Bat Women and Batwing shows you how DC is trying to expand the Batman universe.
For comic book fans, the story looks to be inspired by Batman and Robin Reborn by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely, which centers around the time Bruce Wayne is believed to be dead and his returning to the mantle (Final Crisis and Batman Journey Home). Dick Grayson takes the mantle of Batman with Damien by his side( elements from battle for the cowl). The movie also dips into the Death of Robin story arc, true fans of the series will recognize what parts that's from.
The voice acting is great, proving why the returning cast members were chosen to play the voices the first time. It felt like they were actually working off of one another, which is why you can feel the emotion of each character. Yvonne Strahovski was wonderful as Kate Kane and I really hope they expand on giving her a movie.
This movie is a must see for Batman and Animation fans alike. This is one of the best films in the series with a strong supporting cast and story. Batman: Bad Blood will be on Blu Ray and DVD February 2nd 2016.
