True Eyes (Web Comic) Review

True Eyes is a story involving a girl who can see the true intent of people just looking into his eyes, all set in an alternate history in which the Germans won World War II.

The saying goes that the eyes are the windows to the soul. True Eyes depicts this greatly with the character Lara Sauber. In this alternate reality the Axis powers have won the World War II with nuclear weapons. The United States has blocked off all access to the country and is pretty much turned a blind eye. This leaves 60% of the world either dead or sick from the impact of nuclear weapons used by the Nazi party. When politicians promise changes to Lara's village things begin to awaken. I won't go into much detail but I like the different approach to an alternate timeline piece. Lara at least in this issue doesn't have superpowers like heat vision, strength, climbing walls etc. Instead she can just see the true motives and intentions of someone. Imagine not being able to ever be lied too, being able to prevent and detect who is good hearted and who is not. I like Lara character because she struggles with this gift and tries to make people see the truth. This a character many will enjoy reading and gravitate towards.  The art style is great and I enjoy the design of the characters. Overall this is a cool webcomic you might want to check out. Cool characters, refreshing concept and has a strong theme on the importance of freedom.
